GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
Specimens should be collected prior to antibiotic, antifungal, or antiviral treatment directed against the organism of interest or collected at least two weeks (14 days) after withdrawal of these medications. Specimens received within 72 hours of collection are preferred, but most specimens are stable for up to 10 days if stored refrigerated between 36° to 46° F (2° to 8° C), unless otherwise indicated. Vaccination with an attenuated or modified live vaccine may result in positive test results for up to a three weeks (21 days) post-vaccination.

SPECIMEN REQUIREMENTS: 3664
3 - 5 g (1 g minimum) fresh feces in a sterile container, RTFC (Red Top Fecal Container) preferred; keep refrigerated.

FOR LITTERS UP TO 15 WEEKS OLD
A litter sample may only be submitted for a single litter born within your Program (specify Jill and Hob names below). Combining multiple litters or submitting samples from animals not born within your Program is prohibited.
IDEXX NOTE: Fecal sample retesting should take place a minimum of 14 days after completion of treatment. Samples submitted prior to this recommendation can return a false negative, and no refunds will be given for testing prior to the IDEXX recommended minimum waiting period.
COLLECTION PACK REQUIRED
This test requires the use of a Universal Collection Pack to properly submit your samples to the laboratory. We offer the option to add an individual kit to this test order, or you may order bulk kits: HERE
NOTE: Order must be received by Noon PST for same day shipping of the collection kit, otherwise your kit will ship on the next business day.

LABORATORY RESULTS
Results are available (once finalized by the lab) in your client portal. We offer the option to monitor and email your results (including partial results) as they become available during normal Business Hours.

I will follow the instructions for Packing Specimens for Shipping (green form included in the collection pack) and I understand that failure to include the Requisition Form (attached to the order completion email) in my submission will result in the lab discarding my samples.
